The Way Our Family's Life Should Be... In a Sunburnt Country for Christmas

Having flown from Dublin to Sydney via Abu Dhabi, we happily reunited with Gill, Neil, Helen, Richard, Aaron and Lara in Australia. We needed the family, the antipodean weather, the tins of the amber nectar, the flat whites and the Tasman Sea. These pictures were taken in New South Wales at Shellharbour, Stanwell Tops and Richard and Helen's home/refuge in Shell Cove. And who would have thought such a relaxing life can be had amongst a host of the world's most venemous creatures. Australia is a magnificent natural resource. Beer and wine are tasty too.

The Irish Rugby and Football Season Comes to an End

This photo marks the end of the Irish rugby and football season for the two barbarians of Herbert Park. Rest assured, the next photo you see of these two will show them wearing a lot less gear because they travel this week to play in Australia, where it is summertime. Thank goodness!!!

"Hey, Bono, you home? It's Sunday bloody Sunday, man!"

Lisa standing at the front gate to U2 Bono's Dublin home.

Cill Iníon Léinín (Killiney Beach)

These photos were taken on Sunday afternoon, 2 Dec 07 at Killiney Beach just south of Dublin. Ours was a pilgrimmage of sorts because Lisa found herself standing in front of U2 Bono's house! That's his large white house on the hillside but more importantly Lisa had her picture taken at Bono's front gate! How cool is that???!!! Sunday Bloody Sunday!!!! Refer to our other blog entry to see the front gate photo.

Good Photos of a Rare Night Out in Dublin

We are thankful that Mic and Missy Johnson (daughter of my friend, Sam Vaskov) brought their camera from Kansas City to take great pictures during their holiday in Ireland and Scotland. After 11 months in Dublin, Lisa and I finally had our picture taken together as a couple. A rarity while Liam and Ava Sage are the center of our attention.

These pictures were taken atop the Half Penny Bridge, Leo Burdock's chippy and Temple Bar. Thank you Mic and Missy!

Saturday in Ireland, where Princess Ava Sage, Sportacus and the allure of Guinness reign supreme

At Marlay Park's Halloween parade with Princess Ava Sage and Sportacus then afterwards at the Merry Ploughhouse where, after 11 months of restraint, we gave in to Ava and Liam's demand for their own pint of Guinness.

Daddy, We're Glad You Are Here

Liam gave me this fantastic, personal card this morning to remind me that it's been 5 years since my aneurysm. Am I a lucky father? Yes, I am.

The things he appreciates: pub (lemonade and crisps), Metro Cafe (for Saturday breakfast), baseball, Hot Lips Pizza, Ben & Jerry's, football, rugby, chores (!), speaking French and Spanish, puppets and bedtime stories.
